Bobby Bingo

B-I-N-G-O his name is Bobby Bingo. Not just the realm of adults’ bingo is well known to children in games, songs and folk lore. Bingo has been used as an educational tool to help children with their numbers over the years and even as a communal aid. In 200- the children on the St. Matthew’s estate in Leicester were given cards with pictures of each of the estate’s beat officers on them. Their task was to seek out each beat officer and ask them to autograph their own picture. When the card was complete they handed it in to their headmistress who swapped the card for a cuddly toy, colouring book or a set of crayons. Not only did it improve relations between the officers and children but parents joined in the search and engaged in conversation proving the scheme a huge success and showing the potential for other schemes
Bobby “Bingo” Smith was born in Memphis Tennessee in 1946, a basketball player and coach standing 6’5” tall and weighing 210lbs proving that even the world of sport is under the influence of the giant that is Topbingodeals.
