That's right! DMD is moving into the future, and along with physical CD's we will now be selling digital downloads. We're in the process of making all current and back catalog titles available from OGR, Sullen, NePlus Ultra, Retroactive, Bombworks & Roxx. We'll be adding everything as quickly as we possibly can, however the task at hand is pretty big as all of the labels involved have a pretty extensive back catalog.

Pricing is as follows:
Most new releases: $8.99
Most titles 1 year or older: $7.99
EP: $5.99

All MP3's are coded at a minimum of 192Kbs.

We welcome any other labels or bands that are interest in having their product available digitally to get in touch.

I'm still going to be a physical CD guy 99.99% of the time, but for the handful of releases I'll never be able to afford a copy of (even @ DMD prices!) this might be a good 2nd option Very Happy

What? DMD is cheaper than dirt! I don't care much for digital downloads unless the CD is out of print.

I agree. I much prefer the physical CD, but if this helps get some of this music out there, then I'm for it. I don't personally buy alot of digital downloads, but like MetalFRO, it might save my budget on a few releases that I might otherwise steer away from.

I will be stickin to cds and I hope they never die. This is actually quite scary, as it becoming the only way to get some things.
Being only able to afford dial up connection makes downloading extremely slow so I wont even be bothering with OOP stuff.

I wasn't meaning that as a jab or anything. If that's what it came off as, I do apologize.

Why rip at 192kps when you're just as able, with negligible consequence, to rip at 256kps, especially when people are paying for it?

actually if you can rip at 320kbps, this is far superior audiophile quality than 256. But I can understand the 192kbps encodes, mainly due to bandwidth and server limitations. It's not like you have unlimited amounts of either. Smile

+1

And there are definitely some that are hard to find in the back-catalogs.

Yes, James has the best prices around. However, there are some more "rare" items that have begun to sell for ridiculous prices, no matter where you look (Amazon, CDUniverse, DMD, etc). Why pay nearly $30 for a physical CD of a band when it's not really rare, just in short supply due to most copies now having finally been moved from Christian bookstores & old stockrooms? Doesn't make much sense to me. But then I'm cheap, so maybe it's just me Laughing
