| Miss May I needs to be removed from the vault. They're definitely not a christian band. |

| Yes, please state your reason why. A link would be a bonus. Now, I am curious where my youth pastor friend got this from or how he found out about it. |

why do you say this? and even if this was true then across five aprils would have to be removed as well. |

| Never really listened to the band outside of the few samples on DMD, but here's the lyrics to "Arms of the Messiah" off the new album (taken from here): | Quote: | Follow paths paved with nothing. These waters fill with the dead. The haste is brought with force which it is made Beyond all hope this is true. Shores expire over azure horizons. Waves bury our fathers and consume all that we have loved. Look into their eyes with the flawless feelings that you fake prepare for these tides of annihilation. annihilation. Open your eyes to what you have been breathing upon. Shadows are all we have and they whisper lies. Blood will be our only escape. These arms bring strength behold what we have |
Also, I found an interview with the lead singer here.
| Quote: | | Well, we have been asked a lot if we are a Christian band due to our lyrics. And the answer to that is no, but some of us are Christians and others are not. But myself as a Christian, I try and not put the wrong negative message out in our lyrics. |
Sounds fine to me. They're not a "ministry" band it would seem, but if you're gonna count Zao and many others as still belonging to the Christian-friendly scene, I'd say these guys are fine. |

i agree with this however i did find some lyrics myself and the were a couple of f-bombs. i think they are fine as most of the lyrics do have a lean to christianity. however it does appear that they are in a sense of struggle then in the end of the song a sense of peace in good. if that makes any sense. |

my quote was more of a questioning the guy saying they weren't christian than questioning you. |

| Sorry, I forgot about this thread. I was prompted to ask my Youth Pastor friend. Here is his reply, "Yep...they were advertised in HM...they may not be 100% ministry, but they are Christians." This goes in agreement with some of the above statements. Personally, I have not listened but I will. |

| Okay, I listened to this yesterday.
Sorry, I won't be much help in determining it's merits as I cannot understand 99% of the lyrics. This type of vocal style is not my forte. It would be best to have a link to the complete lyrics.
Guessing that not everything that is in HM mag & DMD should be in the vault and vice versa.
The fact check goes on. |

| i think this band to be safe and as is stated and show through other links here there are christian members in this band. if they are removed from the vault then you must remove all bands that fit into this situation. such as across five aprils and zao. |

Personally, I have not listened but I will. | I got an email from HM a couple months ago asking if we would be cool w/ secular metal bands being advertised in the mag so I dont think this logic is solid. Plus, Rockstar's Mayhem tour is advertised in there and It's not christian._________________ | Admin wrote: | Get your own thread you kangaroo lover. |

Stargazer, thank you for bringing this to our attention. You know your stuff | Bump. I agree with removing bands who curse from the vault. At least in they're songs. "Let no foul word leave your mouth." I think F-bombs and the like fall into that catergory._________________ | Admin wrote: | Get your own thread you kangaroo lover. |
