Subject: New Vocal Technique? Fri Mar 19, 2010 7:44 pm
Hello persons!
I've been experimenting with my vocal cords since I ever heard metal, and I'm curious as to if my own technique is unique or if it's been done before, and better yet, what's it calledand what bands already do it.
This is my youtube video so y'all can help me out here. Thanks!

Keep practicing, though. My death metal vocals sounded almost exactly like that when I first started, but nowadays my death metal vocals are awesome, if I do say so myself.

So burp vocals... do people actually burp or do they just sound like it? Or is it even a legitimate technique?

DEMILICH! I don't know about you guys but the demilich vocalist sounds like he's burping and their music is bloody awesome. And it makes me laugh. Not just because of the song titles. It's all good stuff. You can download all their music for free off of their website. They're tech death.

Ok, scrap that. It sounds nothing like Demilich, but I really actually quite like it. I'd like to hear some heavy chunky guitars and bass chugging away behind it with a solid drumline. Let me know if you get any recordings up with a full band accompanying.
