| I'm not exactly a musician per-say, but I did invest in a good studio quality USB computer mic for $99. The "Snowball" by Blue is what I use and I have been pleased with it. _________________ |

| I'm highly disadvantaged mic-wise. I have a webcam . You can't play anything louder than a whisper or it will fart on you. I also have a built in mic on my mom's laptop but it's really muddy. I think I'll give up trying to record anything until I have decent gear. : |

| I have an Oktava MK-105. Cost was around $600. I also have a V-Tech SM58 knockoff, picks up vocal range really well, but it's noisy.
I've been recently eyeing the new version of the Shure Super 55. I'd really like to get my hands on one of those babies! _________________ Visit the Echelon High myspace at: http://www.myspace.com/echelonhighWe stand as steel, we will not sway. If I'm not mistaken the overheads my drummer uses for drum tracking are older Ovtava condenser mics. |

| Probably... The Oktava MK-012 has been at the top of the overhead mic list for many years. I used to have one, but I had more need for a large diaphragm, so I upgraded. I think, for recording, I'm going to stick with Oktava. They have such great sound for really decent prices. I've even recorded through a few classic Neumans that I just wasn't happy with. But the 105 keeps impressing me _________________ Visit the Echelon High myspace at: http://www.myspace.com/echelonhighWe stand as steel, we will not sway.
