| Hey guys--I'm so excited I just couldn't wait to share this... I haven't even shared this with Bill over at Roxx yet... do that in the morning. :-) For some time I have longed to connect with other musicians... the right musicians... to form a band. It was not an easy thing to do--because in my situation, I can't work regular rehersals into my schedule... so, I just let the idea simmer... and waited to see what God would do. Today, I received a note from Jeff Garner - who has appeared on serveral PB Shred tunes (a brilliant guitarist)... letting me know that a good friend of his, Bruce Gaetke, a stellar drummer (and a mastering engineer to boot) wanted to play drums on some tracks with me... I just felt led to write Jeff back and say (this is the short version...) "Hey, how would you and Bruce feel about being part of the Pastor Brad Band?" And they said, "Let's do it!" So, now we have a current line up of: Bruce Gaetke....drums/vocals Jeff Garner.......guitars/vocals Luke Webber.....lead vocals Brad Windlan.....guitars/vocals BREAK OUT--to be released in March on Roxx will not feature this line up--it will be me and a truck load of killer guests... mastered by Cliffy by the way... so cool! But I'm sure after the new year hits--we'll begin talking and writing new material... If you have the Pastor Brad Christmas Shred disc---you can hear Jeff's playing on the 2nd half of "Oh Little Town of Bethlehem" and "Carrol of the Bells"... Alright--rock on! | This is the best news I've heard heading into the new year. I am excited for you and with you. Wow, everyone contributes vocals! This sounds like a superband of sorts shaping up. A tour might be out of the question but how about a grand debut at C-stone? Something to think about  Back at you "Alright--rock on! Have a very merry Christmas!" |
