| I have read and seen many things on this, but this is the first I have heard of this interpretation.
I have never run into this in any of the books I have read, most historians agree with they were protesting the rise of tea tax, which is what England was doing.
Even if what he says is true, the basic understanding of it is still true, because even if the EITC was getting a tax break, it is still a tax increase for the colonies in a round about way.
Because they would have to lower their price to be competitive and that is the same as the government taking the money, which is what they did defacto if what he says is correct. _________________ |

| Unfair taxation is still unfair taxation. Is this TYT guy saying that tea party advocates are in favor of tax breaks for the wealthy (a long-held belief by liberal democrats, not always supported factually)? |

It is a Reagan conservative "pillar"- Tax breaks for the wealthy.. part of Allen Greenspans Trickle Down Economics.. which was tried for many years and never acutally worked for the betterment of anybody except the wealthy. |
